From Hope Squad to National Honor Society to Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, Senior Symone Smith has dedicated her time at Westerville Central High School to supporting her community and being there for others.

Senior Allison Valladares-Bonilla has led Westerville North High School’s Spanish Club to serve as a bridge between different communities — from students who are native Spanish speakers to those who want to learn the language. 

A new student-operated business learning lab at Westerville South High School, equipment to help build a hands-on computer science lab at Genoa Middle School and the relaunch of the MODEL Mentor program across the District’s middle schools are among the 17 proposals awarded a 2025 Fall Grant from the Westerville Education Foundation (WEF). 

All three Westerville City Schools high schools have been named to the Advanced Placement School Honor Roll for the 2024-25 school year. 

Westerville City Schools’ Intra-District Open Enrollment (IDOE) program is available to families that reside and are enrolled full-time in Westerville City Schools. 

The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee for Westerville Central, North and South high schools is accepting nominations for their respective Alumni Hall of Fame. The deadline for nomination submissions is Jan. 31 for Westerville Central and Feb. 13 for Westerville North and South.

Westerville City Schools Competition Dance Team is headed to the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) Dance State Championship following their performance at the regional competition on Jan. 10 at Centerville High School.
